Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born on November 18, 1985, in Los Angeles. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained Minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. Her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix had an early aptitude for athletics when she was in high school at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Her sprinting talent at that at the time. After her first audition, she placed in the top two at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships for the 200-meter sprint in only 10 weeks. Felix completed high school in 2003, and was signed by Adidas to become an athlete in professional competition. The following year she enrolled at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic Medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place at Athens Greece. Felix set the Junior World Record taking 200m in 22.18 second. She became the youngest 200-meter world champion during the Helsinki World Championships. She defended this title in 2007 beating her long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top three in all of her races in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
